The outstanding and amazing Kanta Pilipinas audition of singer and pianist !!! Discovered at SM City North Edsa! Presently being dubbed the Alicia Keys of the Philippines her unique rendition of Lady Gaga's "You and I" floored everyone that the whole mall was a standstill! Considering that SM North Edsa was flooded with people on a Saturday pay day, the mall fell silent as she played the piano and begun her audition. The dynamics and simple nuances she did made the song sound as if it was her original composition.

Meet Jacob Gayanelo is Kanta Pilipinas Hearththrob who auditioned from Batangas. Kanta Pilipinas co-host Jhai spotted a hottie (Jacob) and of course took the opportunity to capture it.

Open to all Filipinos, 14-30 years old, Kanta Pilipinas will scour the whole country in a nationwide search. Applicants can be a solo, duo, or group act of any genre.

Kanta Pilipinas is TV5’s biggest musical reality search that will scour the country to search the next star that will make the nation sing!
Kanta Pilipinas aims to delve deeper into the lives of all contestants, even providing a full makeover to boost their mass appeal and mold them as the country’s next singing sensation. The competition is open to all Filipinos from 14 to 30 years old, performing any genre in either solo, duo or group act. On-ground auditions start on February 24 in Cagayan de Oro, then moves to six cities nationwide: Cebu, Davao, Baguio, Iloilo, Metro Manila and Batangas. Aspiring singers can also audition online via www.kantapilipinas.com where they can upload a link to their audition video.

In this fun and vibrant music video, Lea Salonga calls for the entire nation to join Kanta Pilipinas amidst a collage of famous tourist spots and popular icons of Pinoy culture brought together by award-winning director Raffy Francisco.
