GMA-7 Official Statement on TV5-GMA Network Merger Report

GMA-7 and TV-5 is merging this year?  The article  came out in the Philippine Star today, June 4, 2012.

Earlier, Manny V. Pangilinan, MVP sent a text to Arnell Ignacio, MVP clarified previous reports about him dropping a hint about GMA-7 and TV5 merger. To quote:

You know Arnel, all I said was - please support TV5 here in the States. And, by the way, please support GMA 7 too (since Dish carries GMA). That was all. No mention of merger, investment combination. Certainly no mention of a November deadline, or any deadline at all. Sure, some people speculated and all I said was I can now say we, re under discussion but nothing finalized at this time."

 
Meanwhile here's GMA Networks statement about the issue:

GMA Network is not in a position to comment on the article that came out in the Philippine Star today, June 4, 2012, regarding the reported merger of GMA Network and TV5 since we are not the source of the information. The said article attributed the information to Mr. Manny Pangilinan (MVP). To our knowledge, MVP has clarified that he was misquoted. We therefore suggest that anyone who wishes to verify may do so with MVP."

President Noynoy Aquino meets Jessica Sanchez- Video

President Noynoy Aquino (PNoy) is set to meet American Idol Season 11 second runner-up,  Jessica Sanchez on June 10 according to the report.

Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda said the meeting will follow Aquino’s dialogue with members of the Filipino community in Los Angeles.

Together Forever is the newest Teen-Oriented show on GMA 7's Sunday afternoon block starring Julie Anne San Jose at Elmo Magalona.  To be directed by Dick Lindayag and premieres June 17, 2012 on GMA-7.

Members of its cast include Steven Silva, Enzo Pineda, Sef Cadayona, Janine Gutierrez, Matthew Mendoza, Bernadette Allyson, Patricia Ysmael, Gerald Madrid, and Jackie Lou Blanco.

Together Forever will replace "Reel Love Presents Tween Hearts". Set to premiere on June 17, "Together, Forever" airs every Sunday afternoon after "Party Pilipinas"

We hope that whatever the outcome will be of the Impeachment Trial, it will still be the best for the Philippine nation and the Filipino people as a whole.
