Most Advanced Weather Forecasting System acquires by ABS-CBN

The ABS-CBN Weather Central, the most modern of its kind in the Philippines, is another first from the country’s biggest and leading news organization. Now, Filipinos have a reliable source of weather information and can receive critical early warnings during the typhoon season by watching newscasts on ABS-CBN and ANC (SkyCable Channel 27), following @ANCalerts on Twitter, and soon from all ABS-CBN television, online, and mobile platforms.

Currently, ABS-CBN newscasts like “Umagang Kay Ganda” and “TV Patrol,” and ANC’s newscasts from “Headstart” (8 a.m.) to “The World Tonight” (10 p.m.) are using the new weather system’s interactive and engaging interface in its weather segments.

ABS-CBN Teleserye Bida-US Tour Kapamilya Hunks 'I Want It That Way'

Kapamilya hunks,  Gerald Anderson, Xian Lim, Rayver Cruz, Enchong Dee, Young JV and Sam Milby performed Backstreet Boy's hit "I Want It That Way" during the Teleserye Bida US Tour 2012 in Alex Theater in Los Angeles, California on March 7.

Ina, Kapatid, Anak stars Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Rayver, Enchong and Maja

Ina, Kapatid, Anak is an upcoming Primetime Soap Opera on ABS-CBN with the Networks young and hottest stars Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Rayver, Enchong Dee and Maja Salvador.

This will be the second project of Kim Chiu and Xian Lim who first made their mark as a loveteam in Binondo Girl. While this will be the first time that Maja Salvador and Enchong Dee will be paired-up in a TV project.

Ina, Kapatid, Anak will be directed by Don Cuaresma and Jojo Saguin coming soon on ABS-CBN.

Palibhasa Tanghali new noontime show of ABS-CBN?

There's a buzz online that ABS-CBN's current noontime show "It's Showtime" will be back to its originaltimeslot, and will be replaced by upcoming noontime game show "Palibhasa Tanghali."

Newest returning Kapamilyas Richard Gomez and Joey Marquez with John Estrada are said to be the main hosts of the newest noontime game show, "Palibhasa Tanghali." Current Kapamilya noontime show "Its Showtime" will be back to its original timeslot.

Will the trio of Richard-Joey-John be good enough to tops the ratings and beat the trio of Tito, Vic, and Joey of GMA Network's and Philippines longest-running show "Eat Bulaga!?"

UPDATE: May 2, 2012-ABS-CBN Releases Statement on ‘It’s Showtime’ Rumored Ending.

There is no truth to rumors that “It’s Showtime” will be replaced. ABS-CBN is neither replacing “It’s Showtime” with another program nor moving it back to its earlier timeslot.
In fact, “It’s Showtime” today, April 30 kicked-off the launch of its new segments starting with the multi-talent showdown among Filipino families following the inter-town grand finals last Saturday, April 28.
The viewing public can look forward to the launch of new entertainment segments in the coming days as ABS-CBN continues on its mission to bring fun and hope to the Filipinos here and in TFC markets worldwide.

GMA News bags 3 Silver Medals and ABS-CBN wins 1 Bronze Medal in 2012 New York Festival Awards

GMA News TV and GMA Network bags 3 Silver Medal Awards and ABS-CBN took 1 Bronze Medal in the 2012 New York Festival Awards.

ABS-CBN wins Bronze Medal for their Krusada : Laya ( Freedom ) in Social Issues/Current Events category, GMA News TV bags Two Silver Medal Awards via Front Row: Bente Dos (Twenty-Two) and Front Row: Yaman Sa Basura (Child Urban Miners) in Social Issues/Current Events category while GMA Network took home another Silver Medal with I-Witness: Lapnos (Burn) in the same category.

I-Witness’ "Lapnos" (Burn) episode won the Silver World Medal for the Social Issues and Current Events category, while GMA News TV’s Front Row brought home two Silver World Medals – one for the Social Issues category for its "Yaman sa Basura" (Child Urban Miners) episode and another one for the Biography/Profiles category for the documentary program’s "Bente Dos" (Twenty-Two) episode.

Front Row’s "Yaman Sa Basura" tells the story of twin boys risking life and limb working in an urban mine in order to help their family. "Bente Dos" (Twenty-Two), on the other hand, narrates the life of a couple living in Manila ’s slums, together with their children - all 22 of them.

After only more than a year older, GMA News TV already made a mark on Philippine TV.

Promise of 1000 Days (A Thousand Days' Promise) is an upcoming Top Rating Korean Drama on ABS-CBN starring  Soo Ae and Kim Rae Won. According to AGB Nielsen Media Research on November 2nd, "A Thousand Days' Promise" November 1st episode scored 17.2% of viewers. This is 1.7% higher than the previous 15.5% on October 31st.

Promise of 1000 Days (A Thousand Days' Promise) is a traditional melodrama about a woman (Soo Ae) who is losing her memory and the loving man (Kim Rae-won) who stands by her side.

Love Rain Korean Drama on ABS-CBN- Video Trailer

Love Rain is an upcoming Korean Drama on ABS-CBN starring, Im Yoona as Kim Yoon Hee in the 70s / Jung Hana (Yoon-Hee's daughter)and Jang Keun Suk as Seo In Ha in the 70s/ Seo Joon (In-Ha's son).

"Love Rain" depicts a 1970's pure love and a love from the present day ... at the same time. It shows how the offsprings of a previous ill-fated couple, who met in the 1970s, managed to meet and fall in love. Seo In Ha and Kim Yoon Hee, a fine art student who devotes his love to only one woman and a shy, elegant beauty, met and fell in love with each other during college in the 1970s but unfortunately their love was fated to never be. Now in the present 21st century Korea, Seo In Ha's son, Seo Joon (a liberal photographer) meets and falls in with the daughter of Kim Yoon Hee, Yuri, a cheerful and energetic girl whose personality is the opposite of that of her mother's. Will their love for each other keep them together or will they have to face the same fate as their parents?
