Watch Olivia Culpo wins Miss USA 2012! Olivia Culpo, 20 was crowned Miss USA 2012 from Rhode Island on Sunday, June 3 after she render her answer:  it would be fair for transgendered contestants to win the pageant, giving her a crown that she will wear when representing the United States at the Miss Universe pageant later this year.

Culpo was crowned by Miss USA 20122 Alyssa Campanella from California and will represent the U.S. in the Miss Universe 61st annual pageant this year.

According to Reuters report, Culpo was asked if it was fair that a transgender woman would win Miss USA over a natural born woman, and she answered, "I do think that would be fair, but I can understand that people would be a little apprehensive to take that road."

2012 Miss Dominican Republic Carlina Duran is a Mrs.

Carlina Duran who was crowned as 2012 Miss Dominican Republic on April 17, will have to relinquishe her crown s a Mrs. The rules state that those vying for the crown must be single, while Ms. Magaly Febles, director of the Miss Domincan Republic contest, said that Mrs Duran was married in 2009.

Amber Greasley was crowned Miss World Australia 2011 on August 27, 2011 at the Citiclub on Queen in Melbourne. She will represent Australia in Miss World 2011 pageant in London, England in next November. The first runner-up was Mietta Gornall and the second runner-up was Rachael Penrose.
