‘Marvel’s The Avengers’ Gross 100 million for 2 Days in Philippines

According to the report from Inquirer,  “Marvel’s The Avengers” grossed an unprecedented P100.76-million in its first two days of release nationwide, according to Victor R. Cabrera, managing director of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Philippines.

They are Earth's mightiest heroes, formed to fight the foes no single hero could withstand. The Avengers are the most prestigious and powerful super-hero team in the world, an ever-shifting assemblage of super-beings, adventurers and crime fighters devoted to protecting the planet from menaces beyond the scope of conventional authorities.



Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Marvel's The Avengers" is the superhero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as SHIELD, finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.


Update: It is official: Marvel’s “The Avengers” is the Philippines’ highest-grossing film of all time.The superhero flick that served as the culmination of five years worth of Marvel Studios offerings raked in a record-breaking P281-million opening weekend gross nationwide. It is the biggest debut ever in history according to Victor R. Cabrera, Managing Director of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Philippines- Philstar report.
